How deep do my concert fence post need to be.
The fence in total is six feet the soil is quite solid
And the first foot is butting up against a brick wall.

Do you mean the hole in the ground? normally the post are 8' or 9' so 2' deep hole for the 6' post and 3' for the 9' post

trenching shovel. about £15 from wickes and they are suprisingly good. I use mine virtually every day and its lasted a good few years so far.
