Hello All,
I need to replace some handrails that are excessively corroded at the base. The handrails are bolted directly to a concrete floor which is being washed down regularly and remains wet most of the time. I would like to put the new handrails on a small concrete base to help prolong their life.
Can anybody advise how this is done? Do I make the bases in situ? should I make the bolt holes while wet or drill them when dry? What mix should I use? As you can see, this is new to me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
