Hi everyone hopefully you can help.

We are away to build an extension and are sourcing materials as alot of the work is being done myself or mates. At the moment we are trying to price blocks for the external walls around the kit can you tell me firstly how we workout how many blocks we need with the extension being 45sq and also can we use standard lightweight aerated blocks

thanks

Have you tried calculating how many blocks you need?

I have heard it is more accurate than guessing.

actual wall dimensions, holes for doors and windows included?

double or single wall?

loads? ( roof type and material, second storey etc? )

you will need about 450 7 newton blocks(10 per msq) minus the area of the windows and doors. you are looking at about £55 per pack 88 per pack
happy building(remember yer wall ties!)
