Hi,

I've just moved in to a new property and need to extend the existing printed concrete driveway by another 3m or so to fit two cars on. What I'm wondering is, will it possible to match the printed block concrete drive with the new one to make it look acceptable or will I have to have the whole lot done?

Many thanks in advance for your help

Only a local print concrete firm could confirm whether a close match is possible, though you would have to take into account the inevitable weathering of the existing surface.

You could always go for a complete contrast mebbe?

I had no idea you could need planning permission for a concrete drive. Thanks for that, very useful to know.

You still don't as long as you use either a permeable material (& print concrete isn't) or you provide some form of gutter drain to a soakaway.

It might seem daft but so many people are now concreting over front gardens, the surface water drainage systems are being overloaded & have trouble coping with all the water running into the roads.

Yeah I completely understand that. I think we'll go for a gravel type section leaving the already printed concrete alone.

Many thanks for your time and info, it's much appreciated.
