Hi,
I'm trying to patch up an old garage floor, that strictly speaking needs replacing.
So I'm just going to patch it up as best I can, smooth it as best I can, and give it a coat of paint.
Some of the larger holes I intend to fill with SF No Nonsense concrete, and some of the deeper cracks I intend to pour some self leveller in.
I'll probably get some kind of pourable resin for the smaller cracks.
My big puzzle today is the deep pit where the garage entrance is, which needs to form a slight ramp.
The last person had thrown in a mix of broken masonry and grit, which had lots of voids.
Should I put some gravel, ballast or mot subbase, and then pour in some concrete?
I can't afford a whacker plate, so I would just have to tread it down.
I could put the masonry chunks back but it might form voids again.
Cheers in advance.

In that situation I mixed some left over decorative gravel with sand and tamped it down with the head of a sledge hammer, then cement on top
