Hi,
I've just bought a house which has a double garage built in to a two tier garden, so that the flat roof of the garage is ground level for the upper tier. The roof is made from reinforced concrete blocks over which there is only a thin skim.
My problem is that the skim has cracked and thus the roof leaks ! My house is in the central region of France so it is very cold in winter and hot in summer, so I'm guessing this aided the cracking.
I would like to use the roof as a terrace eventually, so any advice on how to waterproof would be appreciated.
My only idea would be to remove the skim, replace with a new one, then some type of waterproof layer, but which ?? then another skim ? onto which lay paving.
Anybody have a better idea and/or recommend materials to use
