Sorry if this is already covered in here.

Just a quick question.

We're renovating a 41 year old bungalow at the moment.

It's got four small leaks.

The roof tiles are concrete interlocking, I think. See photos.

The roof has a lot of moss on it.

I guess my question is, What's the best way to get rid of the moss, and what's the best way to track and fix the leaks? Is there a sealant I can use on concrete roof tiles? View media item 38579 View media item 38580

Locate where the water is coming in and track up the roof checking for cracked/broken tiles paying particular attention to the channels.

Just use a scraper and fungicidal wash to clear the moss, it will come back through time though.

No need to seal the tiles.

Thanks guys for your response.

How are these tiles normally fitted?

Should I left them and clear the interlocking edges of debri/moss and refix?

They are interlocking and hanging on battens.
You dont have to remove the tiles, just clear the channels with a scraper or screwdriver.
If any of the channels are broken they will need replaced.

cool. I'll be a busy man for the next few dry days. Thanks for all your help.
