I have a concrete portico which is in dire need of repair. The concrete has a sandstone effect outer layer all over.

There are several sections where the rebar is exposed. I am not concerned over structural integrity as the broken away sections all seem to be on the surface for the most part.

It’s coming down next year but I want to patch it up and make it look presentable for 12 months or so. I have done some of the patching with concrete but I was thinking of maybe rendering the whole thing, not sure if this is the best idea though.

Any suggestions?

Bit of an eyesore at the moment. Just want to tidy it up.

Demolish it now? Seems totally out of place with the rest of the house ..
