We have been quoted a price for a re-roof. The quote is to replace clay tiles with concrete. Would appreciate feedback on the pros and cons. Also the roof is about 60 yrs old - the clay tiles look ok - do you know if the builder will use these as reclaimed tiles?
60 years is end of life and no reclaim use - otherwise why are they being replaced? Most likley will be dumped in the skip, but if you are happy with the quote why bother with what will be done with them if you don't want them?
You could always smash them all up when the roofer has gone home
Well nothing wrong with concrete tiles my friend. Fit and forget. You would be aghast at the price of re-doing in Rosemary again although they look great and are longlasting.
