Hi all, I've been using the site for advice while planning my new patio and surrounding wall build. It's been very helpful, thank you all.
One thing I'm still unsure about is how to extend my step down onto my patio, I'd like it to be full length, rather than the existing. My question is can I just pour foundation pad right next to the existing or do I require expansion joints? Sorry if it's a silly question it's all brand new to me. Picture attached of rough idea, dashed lines are where I want to extend the step.
Also where the wall meets my current extension, I'm using wall ties into the existing brickwork, but do I need an expansion joint there too?
