I need to prevent rats getting in to my property and have been advised to concrete and wire mesh the sub floor, how should i concrete the below the floor boards? Any preparation needed, what are thoughts on DPM's

Sounds extreme!! Like chopping your leg off to get rid of a scab!
Make your own decision what to do but it would be better to find where they're getting in and block that, could be a broken drain that needs repairing not filling with concrete.
