Hi Everyone

Is it possible to add a condensing combination boiler to a 10 mm microbore central heating system, I need to update the boiler and add TRVs to the system, any advice would be appreciated.

If you have twin entry valves then you'll need to repipe the rads though.

Thanks for your quick reply Dan,

However what do you mean by twin entry valves?

I have a the usual flow and return valves fitted either end.

Also Dan, Can I still have a room stat as well as TRVs

Thanks

Steve

Don't worry about your valves then - just fit normal trvs.

You need a programmable room stat somewhere, but not in teh same room as a trv. Where the stat is installed fit a regular rad valve instead.

Its not just a matter of "can I", you MUST have a room stat! It does not HAVE to be programmable though.

Its also very important to clean the microbore pipework well before fitting a new boiler particularly if its a combi.
