Here is what one just received says:-

£100 for synchron motor then. Plus labour.
They're extra expensive for condensing Netaheats because they're so rare.

Hey Tony this company also sends this out to 4 or 5 other companies. Making them at least £30 per enquiry. Once you sign up they will send you all types of plumbing/gas work, charging you £6 per time. But you will still have to complete with the other companies / second rate people quoting for the work. You could get 10 leads paying £60, for you to compete with a NON gas safe cowboy. Your better off having a bigger advert in Thompson local :D :D

Anyway what are you doing up at 3.30am???

Agile if you think its for second rate people why are you registered with them

The lead generating companies are a complete waste of space. You might as well go subbing for warmsure or whatever they are called these days.

Oh dear, I never thought that Namsag might get his leads from them.

They offered to send these leads to me free so I receive them.

They are often interesting to read like this condensing Netaheat. A very few put their telephone numbers in and I sometimes call them to ask who did the job and how much they charged. The common thread is that most of those responding were not born in the UK and quote surprisingly low prices.

The people asking for quotes are sometimes as bad as those responding.

"Change two rads and powerflush" Estimated price "under £100"

Lawrie is that who you are today, why would it insult me.

And your right Agile i dont get leads from them or go on internet sites advertising my prices and trawling for work i leave that to the less able in society.

One of my ex-trainees did get boiler replacement jobs from some of those sites but he did that by visiting and demonstrating his professionalism by his response and nice written quotation.

Being a well spoken graduate, he would be seen as a much better bet by genuine customers than the average plumber.

Are you paying for the leads or are you getting these for free.

With number of free loaders that are trying to make money by offering suck services is on the increase. I have regular calls from such companies that I name as 'do not answer' or 'cold call' so call goes unanswered. Those that evade this first line of defecnce who wish to talk to 'owner of the business' are told that he is not present
