I have just had installed a Charnwood 16B Multifuel boiler installed, its running 6 radiators of approx 20,000 Btu's & domestic hot water.
Its the first time I have ever used this type of boiler as my last was a gas combi, now we are in a rural village with no gas.
I am a little disappointed in the time it takes for the radiators to warm up, I knew it wouldn't be instant & it might get better with practice & experimenting with different types of fuels, but I am looking at the worst case scenario of now installing an oil fired boiler.
I would like to know if it is possible to have the oil fired boiler & the multifuel system running in tandem with a control system kicking in the oil system once the fire burned out or the water temp dropped ?
Would really appreciate any advice on this.
Thanks
Chris
