Hey!

I'm aware that there are pan connectors with a boss [ or whatever it's called ] to enable a basin waste to connect.

I'm intending to use a bottletrap under the sink, for easy cleaning, but will I need some sort of air admittance valve to prevent the 'trapped' water from being sucked out when the loo flushes or is that unlikly.

I'm assuming that when the basin is used, there will be too little water movement for the pan's trap to empty.

This is a downstairs cloakroom where the drain comes in up through the floor.

You will need to put an anti siphon valve in (air emittence). This will ensure the water willnot be sucked out of the trap

Its not unlikely. Quite likely cos the drain drops through the floor so when it cuts across the rest bend u could get induced syphonage. By an 1 1/4 " Mac Alpine antivac bottle trap.
