As part of my bathroom refurbishment, I'm about to do some work on the external soil stack and have already purchased the required fittings.
One thing I'm not sure of is how the boss socket adaptor connects to the bossed pipe. I'm using wavin osma fittings as shown in the following photo.
So, I believe I need to cut out the boss socket on the pipe using a 50mm core drill. (Screwfix sell a 51mm core drill bit, so I assume the extra millimetre won't be a problem?).
Can someone confirm that the boss socket adaptor is meant to be solvent welded into the boss pipe? I had assumed so, but just wanted to double check. TBH, there's no other way to make it secure!
I guess the solvent weld needs to not only be placed on the sides of the boss adapter, but also on the end that presses against the face of the boss pipe fitting?
Thanks.
