Hi
I have a downstairs toilet and the clay soil pipe runs underground at right angles to the house to the main sewer. I'm installing a new upstairs toilet and want to connect the new plastic soil stack to the underground clay pipe which runs from the downstairs toilet.
I'm told I require a clay "swept T" joint. Can anyone tell me where I might get such a joint? Can anyone tell me where I might view a range of joints that could be used. It's one of those...If I see it I know it'll work kind of situations.
Confused
Any advice would be useful.

Building regs and inspection chamber springs to mind.

You will need both.

As per doitall's comment, this work must be notified to your LABC and they will inspect it to make sure it meets the requirements of The Building Regulations.

Any decent plumbers' merchant, and many builders' merchants.

See above.

Drains are simple things, but it's easy to get them wrong if you don't know what you're doing. Reading one of the manufacturer's literature will help you.
