Connection of NEFF T1483 ceramic hob

Could anyone tell me if any copper bridges are needed in the actual hob connection box when connecting to a normal domestic 240v supply please ? I have power down to the hob but nothing happens when I touch the "On" symbol on the glass. I have connected L to terminal 3 and N to 5 with Earth to Earth.
Any ideas what I have done wrong please ?

What did he instal instructions say. You should be able to tell by looking at the terminal block that you have connected to. Chances are you have connected to the wrong terminal.
