My parents have got a leak in their conservatory which I am repairing. It's coming from the ally box gutter which is a pig to get to. Sourced it to the join, which I need to re seal. Question is, what do conservatory guys use as sealant for this? i was just going to use some ct1, but thought I would double check on here first to see if there is anything better/more suitable.

Can't really get an idea of scale from the photo but I would use sikaflex EBT or 11FC to seal the gap. If really wide you could use a bit of sheet ally or tin stuck down with the sikaflex and then cover the whole patch with a coat of flexacryil or aquapol.

I was gonna say that Flasband is the quick and dirty way out of it... Essential part of a maintenance kit! :sneaky:

Mw roofling, from you experience how long is the butyl tape expected to last for this sort of repair in a gutter?

This looks to be the same stuff , have you used it ?: http://www.screwfix.com/p/sika-mult...tape-grey-100mm-x-10m/38892?_requestid=277541

It's Roofline, not Roofing. I hate Roofing....

Anyway I don't know that product but I can't see it being a good as the stuff we use as 10m would cost £60.
We've gone back to jobs 10+ years ago and the butyl tape is still stuck down harder than concrete!
