Hi
Currently converting a 4x3m conservatory into a orangery, have completed the internal walls using thermalite blocks.
I'm now at the stage where I can start putting up external walls.
My questions are the following sorry if they are daft
1, can I use the thermalite on exterior? If I'm going with a render (k-rend)
2, roof joist size for flat roof when calculating the span is it the internal measurement from brick to brick or something else?
3, external walls.. internally I have been able to take my time as the conservatory is still up and I'd like to try and keep it like that for as long as possible while doing this project.. I'm not a bricky and the last thing I want to do is rush and do a bad job (I can do it but not as quick as a professional)
So any suggestions keeping the roof up while removing the 2 side 3m sections of the conservatory?
Id like to get to a stage where it's just one coarse of bricks then joists before removing the roof?
Cheers
