Hi all,
Looking for a little help. I have a conservatory that failed a letter of comfort for not having external doors between it and the house. The doors are solid wood with glass panes are a very poor fit in the frame. Because of this, they failed the thermal part of the building regs.
I've been quoted £1500 to have upvc doors installed, but this is a little overkill as we're selling the house. So I don't want to pay this, get the letter of comfort and move out.
Do properly fitted wooden external doors meet the building regs, or do I need to swallow the upvc door cost?
Thanks for any help.
