Our house used to be gloriously quiet at night after the hot water and heating went off (timer controlled). Suddenly, and for no apparent reason, we now have a noisy airing cupboard all night! I think it's coming from the pump but cannot find any switches or CBs to turn it off. I have turned off all the power to the heating/hot water systems, but still the noise persists. The pump is a Milo gold 60, the boiler is an Ideal Classic and the timer is made by Potterton controls.

Any ideas on how to cure this minor but extremely irritating fault would be appreciated!

Thanks EliteHeat - can I possibly investigate/fix this, or is it a job for a professional?

a photo of the controls in your airing cupboard would help as other factors to consider.
which classic is it,dont remember a pump over run on these boilers.
classic is a very good bog standard boiler,i nearly cried last week when i saw one in a skip, looked only 2-3 years old and an alpha combi going in.
