I have a client that wants a rectangular brick pool, about 6 courses high, for a water feature. I was going to use butyl liner once the building was done, but I hate that stuff - avoiding folds and flaps is a nightmare. Has anyone advice for rendering the inside and then sealing with G4? ie what mix to use for render, waterproofing agent, etc?

All advice gratefully received.

Brick or concrete block, scratch coat, all walls then start back again at the first wall when the scratch coat has pulled in, ( gone firm )
and top coat all in the same day, if you leave it till the next day to top coat it will still be to wet to float before you will want to go home.
engineering bricks, just one coat.
Wet the concrete floor with a brush at the base of the wall as this will help it bond and stop it drying to quick.
Sika, does a product as well but I've not used it.
After its floated keep it shaded so it does not sun or wind dry.

4&1 mix.
