Hi. I want to make a shower curb to surround two sides of a shower tray . It will form a boundary inside of which will be the shower tray sitting on top of a shallow-ish bed of cement. The sides of the shower tray incline inwards and so the gap that produces, between it and the curb, can be filled with a sealant.
I estimate that if I make the curb about 100mm deep, that should allow the curb to stand about 50mm above the top of the tray (if the cement bed is 10mm deep) -useful when it comes to installing a curtain to keep water from splashing beyond the tray.
I've attached a picture. This picture shows a curb. Originally the curb was to be two pieces of good quality marine plywood affixed to the flooring. However, I seem to have come to the conclusion that it would not be good to use even good quality marine plywood. If I cannot use marine plywood, can anyone suggest what I could make that curb from? Thanks.
