I have a couple looking to put in a wood burner in a recently opened up fireplace.
The only issue is the concrete hearth has cracked.
I've offered to build a new brick base but they want the level kept the same.
Is there a leveling compound suitable for fireplaces or should I skim with concrete? Should it be fire retardant? What mix should I use?
