Can anyone advise if I have any rights here?
We bought an iPhone XS from Music Magpie, used but in pristine condition with a 12month warranty.

7 months into our ownership the screen stopped working, the touch function failed first then the screen went blank. We returned it and they fixed/replaced the screen under warranty. Great.
We got the phone back and within 3 weeks the fault returned, exactly the same as the original fault. We returned the phone again and they have refused to repair and said the phone is moisture damaged, they class that as accidental damage and say they have voided the warranty.
Now to me it would seem that if there is moisture in there then their first repair must be at fault. From factory the phone is IP68 which is this:
According to Apple, the new iPhonescan survive dunking in up to 3m of water for up to 30 minutes. ... “iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are splash-, water- and dust-resistant, and were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 2 metres up to 30 minutes).
——————————————
The phone is still pristine, it lives in a decent case and has never been dropped or wet.
I’ve spoken to Music Magpie but they are not budging and I think they are fobbing me off.
What can I do now? I bought the phone on my Santander Debit card and it should have 3 weeks of the original warranty left.
Thanks for any advice.
