I have bought a 2.3kw oven and also a separate gas hob which also has a plug on it for ignition.

In terms of sockets I have a dedicated 6mm circuit from CU going to a 45amp dual cooker switch which has a 13amp socket on it. This is above the worktop and leads to an outlet switch behind where the cooker would go.
I also have close access to a couple of normal sockets on the house ring main(small house so I have been told its fine all the sockets are on one ring main)

My question is where am I best to plug in the cooker AND hob?

Let me know if any other info is required.

Thanks

Thanks.

And it doesn't matter that the hob would be connected to a 6mm supply even though it only requires electric for ignition?

Nope, the fuses in the plugs protect the appliance cables. The appliances will draw what they need, not what can be shoved down a 6mm cable.

I would not advise using a 'converta' socket as they are not up to the job. Change the box to 2 gang and use a Hager or MK sockets.(y)
