Hi,
I have a stoves cooker, need to check/look for model number etc.

The rear left hob/ring etc has on the knob 1-8 heat settings.
I have noticed that if i have it on 2 it seems to work as it i had selected 8.

I mean the water is boiling so rapidly i need to remove it.

Please could you advise what might be the issue.

Please could you advise where i might get the model number etc to assist your more.

Thanks

The model number of our Stoves range cooker is on a metal plate on the front somewhere, visible with the oven door open.
The issue will probably be the control 'knob' for that particular ring. I put knob in italics because there are different types of workings - check out what goes with your particular model.

OK,i will check it out.
Without me saying anything to others in the house somebody just said to me that they had it on 6 the other day & then turned it down to say 2 but it didnt seem to do anything so when the knob was on 2 it seemed as if the heat was still for 6

So just as an examaple are with looking for it to be this item on the back of the knob ?
