cooker not working

Hi, i changed my cooker switch/socket earlier and when i flicked the power back on the cooker circuit breaker tripped so i reset this and the cooker still isnt working but there is power getting to the socket.

Anyone know what the problem may be?

Have you checked your connections? Make sure they are not loose.

yeah ive taken the plug back off to check the wires and everything seems fine

This might be really a dumb response but if my cooker loses power it won't come on again until the clock is set.

I couldn't infer from the thread if the cooker now has power or not (which might be why the response is dumb).

Most likely you have done something wrong.

please describe what you did, and why.

Is it an electric cooker or a gas cooker?

Is it fed through a plug or a large cable connector?

post some pics if you can.

What do you mean plug?
Isnt it a cable to the cooker?
If its a plug socket (I doubt) try something else in it
