i have a split load consumer unit with 100a main switch and a 80a rcd
im just putting in a 30a cooker point should it be connected to the rcd side on the unit or on the non rcd side i have read that cookers can sometimes cause nuisance tripping of an rcd ?
any advice please

if it has a socket, you ought to put it on the RCD, but its best to fit one without a socket so you can put it on the non-RCD side and have no arguements with BCO. ;)
