I know there is a lot of information regarding cookers and sockets but I've not been able to get a clear idea of my scenario.
We are replacing our double oven which is currently connected to a cooker switch on the wall which I believe is 32amp. Our new single oven has a 13amp socket only.
Am I correct in thinking that I can wire the existing output wires from the cooker switch to a normal wall mounted socket and then plug directly into this ? Is the wall socket capable of taking the higher rated cables and is the 13amp plug fuse enough protection for the the single oven on its own ?
Many thanks
