I have purchased new kitchen equipment. This consists of 2 individual cookers each rated at 3.2kw and a hob rated at 7.2kw.
I have 2 supplies from the distribution board 1 on 6mm cable and fused currently at 30amp and 1 on 10mm cable and fused with an MCB at 40amp.
The cookers require to be protected at 16amp according to Bosch.
I have no spare connections at the distribution board (which is an old style WYLEX fuse unit some of the fuses have been replced by plug-in MCB's).
Time prevents the replacement at this time of the Distribution Board so I am looking at the best solution.
Clearly there is enough available power to the kitchen but its the best mix and best way of protecting the ovens & hob which is giving me a challenge.
Any suggestions guys and girls?
Many thanks David
