With copper pipe being at a record high I was consedring putting a gas pipe in galvinised as I need 30 meters of pipe + 10 elbows of this job and 28mm will only do.

I do screwed pipe all the time with the company I work of so It will not take that long.

Is galvanized pipe a lot cheaper than copper pipe ?

damn, ah well never mind, barrel is such a pain though, although it is cheaper by the time you have threaded it surely the saving is lost in time

Doesn't it come pre threaded like electrical conduit?

30m of steel electrical conduit is a doddle... if it's straight

30 m of gas pipe is a long distance.

I hope you have got your pipe sizing right.

Also that you have your own Gas Safe registration!

only @ each end - you have to cut and thread it  Bloody sparkies conduit - like comparing a straw in a Maccy D`s drink with the bar on an olympic weight  . That`s why proper pipe fitters had no necks and hairy arses
