I know how you chipys love your tools, there are a few cordless circular saws on the market, do any of you use one, and if so. what make do you recomend
I have an 18v Bosch, noticably underpowered against my corded model but which comes in very handy when cutting sheet material. If you are wanting to replace a corded saw for most jobs then get a 24v, heavier but has the power to match.
All depends on what you will be cutting with it really.
would agree with Deluks, cordless will be under powered compared to corded, if cordless is a must though, it makes sense to get the same make as any other cordless kit you have and cross match the batts! be prepared to buy extra ones though as they will eat through batteries during the course of a day
yep they eat batteries
all depends on what and how much your cutting
i have a dewalt dw62 mains 2xryobi 18v and bosch 24v
if your cutting say a 12mm 8x4 sheet with a ryobi one plus 18v 1.7 ah you will probably get 4 or 5 full length cuts before using the second battery
or with the bosch 24v 2ah you will probably 40% more cutting
i cut loads off boards 6/12/18mm ply/mdf i use the ryobi 95% off the time the bosch 5% off the time and the dewalt !!!!!!!! cant remember last time i used it
