£380 0dd first year, can't remember what it is after that, I pay it but 'cause it's just another bill I have no choice about I don't have a clue about it. Think it's 80 something.

Its about £156 after the first year for one operative.

Just having CCN 1 does not qualify you to do much apart from looking for gas leaks.

Getting CORGI registered now usually requires demonstrating a lot of practical experience, not just having completed a college course!

when I took on a lad to work for me and I wanted him to service gas boilers he was NVQ2 qualified but to get him on the ccn1 and cen1 I needed to prove at least 80hrs work experiance with me.

after he had done that he atteneded the training course got his ccn1 and cen1, then I called CORGI paid my money and he got his card Job Done

Thats a different aspect!

I can add anyone with the right ACS to our company registration as an additional operative without any further ado.

Its assumed that they would be working under my supervision and that I would only send them alone to something I was confident they were safe to do.

Getting independently registered is a completely different matter!

Its just cost me over £500 . They have now added VAT but this includes the 3 months to April ( was this supposed to make me feel better ),isnt CORGI great value for money ?

ansam - as you've paid up for the entire year, you're surely entitled to all the "Gas Installer" mags for the year. Good luck getting them!

Do you know something I dont know Paul. I have got to admit I was shocked by the price. But like ChrisR mentioned I will get the Gas Installer delivered to my door or am I expecting too much ?

Its my understanding that to become independantly CORGI registered you need to prove at least 18 months supervised experiance

Could be wrong, it has been known

My GI goes straight in the bin unopened, always some suit and tie with his tongue down the back of someones trousers while shaking hands picking up yet another award for finding another way to rip money out of us all for doing absolutaly sodd all.
