After removing my kitchen to do some referb work, I had a little mishap. Pulled a large cabinate out of the way to hear a large object falling from the sky. Did the old duck and cover and as I opened my eyes from my safe house on the kitchen floor, I could see day light through the worktop. I knew that wasn't going to be good. Turns out a large piece of wood had fallen from above the cupboards and hit the worktop, snapping around a 30cm2 triangle off the corner of the Corian worktop. S***! Any idea of the best way to fix it? Can I glue it and clamp it into place?

Wow - that seriously sucks

I can't offer any help, only condolences :( let us know how you get on!

Edit: Oh - update - showed the pics to my missus, who was in charge of speccing our worktops, and she said that "one of the pluses of Corian is that you can apparently melt / weld it back together, dipping in new material".

Not suggesting for a moment that you try this yourself, but at least it sounds like an experienced repairer should be able to sort it.
