Hello,
Has anyone installed tongue and grooved planks of cork with wood veneer finish as a floor surface?
The only brand that I am aware of is "Wood Comfort" (formerly known as
Wood-o-Cork or Wicanders Series 4000).
I did not get much information from the supplier hence my question.
Thank you!

Thank you for your reply and apologies for not being clear!

- are customers happy with this product?- cork tongue and groove planks with a wood veneer
-is Wood Comfort by Wicanders the only brand available?
-are there cons? (the pros are warm, affordable, hopefully looks nice)
-can it be laid directly on a concrete floor? I live in an Edwardian terrace and a damp proof course man advised me against laying a solid timber floor because of his expereince of the problems of buckling etc due to poor ventilation. Would this problem be less with laying the cork tongue and groove planks or an engineered wood floor?
- was installation easily? is it worth paying for a professional instillation?

I asked the UK supplier of Wood Comfort these questions, but was told they only sold the product and never heard back from customers.

Regards

Those who opted for Wood-O'cork boards by Wicanders are happy with the results.
The click-system is like any other click-system: handy in large rectangular areas, a pain when it comes to the last row and other obstacles. Weakest link here also the "click" at the top joints.
Cons - not that I know (price perhaps, just a veneer layer for the price of a normal standard wood-engineered floor with a 4mm top layer)

On a concrete floor you need to install at least a DPM sheet or a combi-underlayment if you want extra sound-insulation.
I would opt for a decent wood-engineered floor with a simple T&G construction.

Would you buy from a company that only sells these products and leaves you in the dark when it comes to these questions? (Just my personal professional opinion ;))
