Afternoon all,

Recently moved into a new property and discovered that two corners in the living room are wet to the touch right at the bottom corner, this is on the wall that connects us the our neighbours. In the spare bedroom which is directly above one of the corners we also have a wet corner directly above.

I will attach photos below

When you say new property, I'm guessing you don't mean new build? From the photos this looks like excess moisture in the air, due to lack of heating, ventilation. Basically the air doesn't circulate in the corners to dry them out.

Hey, that’s correct not a new build just recently moved in. Any advice on solving this issue?

1. don't dry your washing or anything wet on the radiators in the room.
2. turn the heating on
3. open a window or trickle vent.
4. buy a dehumidifier.
5. check that there isn't any dirt in the gutters outside causing rain to overflow.

It looks like this has been a problem before.

Thanks for the advice I’ll give those things ago but yes believe it might have been as some of the wall further along looks previously damaged.

Why not post pics showing all the internal areas of concern, and pics showing the outside of the wall(s)?
What did the mortgage surveyor say about the damp marks?
