We have the Builders working in our House
They have taken down an internal Wall and ezposed the cavity between the Internal Block work and external Bricks
The Gap is 3 Inches and there is No Insulation whatsoever
So i am looking at Wall insulation being installed
I assume its a foam thats pumped in from outside
What would the cost be for a 3 Bedroom Detatched House
Not Huge Built 1989
All i can find is companies advertising Grants for this work which i dont qualify for
Just want to see how much it is and get it done

look at the websites of the companies supplying your gas, your electricity; and of your local council. If you are not a BG customer look at their website as well.

For example http://www.britishgas.co.uk/product...aving/home-insulation.html?bglink_id=imm10029

They will probably have a free or a subsidised installation service. They will probably also offer loft insulation.

If not it will cost you a few hundred.

These days it is generally shredded mineral wool which is blown into the gap, not injected foam.
