cost of scaffloding

how much would it cost to have scaffloding put up over a glass roof conservatory , span would be 5 mts wide by about 4 mtrs high, wanting to change soffits and fascais and fit some dry verge , worry is droping something through glass roof of conservatory

Most scaffold companies have what is called bridging sections to deal with such obstacles.

The last connie we needed spanning required 8m bridge sections.

Piece of cake and cost about £150 above the cost of the regular scaffold.

Sorry, a bit misleading!

As part of a larger scaffolding job one item was to bridge a 7m long connie.

The whole job cost about £700 and this was about £150 above what it would have cost had the bridging section not been needed. This was because the scaffold company needed to send an extra man to erect and dismantle the rather unwieldy 8m sections.

I have no idea what yours will cost but i would be thinking upwards of £250. Scaffold companies will also lay down protective ply, fit sheeting to the scaffold and add all manner of things to the scaffold in order to protect property or people.

You will have to pay though....
