Hi woody hope your keeping well... The door inside is flush with the floor of the porch which is the same level as the top brick under the full of the porch which is.also just above the air brick if I'm looking at it right.

I'm building wall up on televised of the old h with a window in to extend the width of the porch but keeping g the current floor or e!the same I just can't fathom the doc on the house, usually you see a bit.of black dpc sticking out lol
Thanks
Jake

Generally, if the house has concrete floors, the DPC is level with the surface. If it has timber floors, the DPC is about one course below the floorboards, or the first mortar joint below the floorboards.

It can be hard to spot on some.properties. In the West country it's quite common to bed the DPC without mortar under it on the face work, and if it's set back a few mm you can't see it.

When I build this wall which will be in a small L shape adjoined to my porch would it be possible
To set the dpc at 20/25 cm instead of 15cm to allow me to raise the garden slightly?
Thanks
Jake

DPCs can go at any height as long as moisture is prevented from moving across to the floor and wall above floor level. You may need to form a tray.
