The different ah ratings on drill batteries. I'm looking at a Makita combi drill in B&Q. It's 18v and comes with 2 Ni-Cd 1.3am batteries. At £83.32 this is considerably a lot less than other 18v combi drills.

Any advice is greatly received as always.

I've had one of those drills for a couple of years - they are a fantastic buy at twice the price.
 
volts= the engine amps[ah]=the petrol tank
in general nicads are old hat and wont fit the new tools unless you take ryobi aeg and dewalt where thwe old batteries fit the new tools and old tools fit the new batteries

although dewalt has now introduced a new range
