There is an outbreak of something or the other most of the time some where in the world. Thank the BBC for pointing an example out.

As this one is called SARS CV19 it might even be a mutation of SARS. Ceres posted a link to some one who has found CV!9 evidence in sewage waste from before the initial epidemic. He heads it with the word culprit. Ok but the people who worry about this sort of thing mention that the world was overdue something nasty and they can come from any mix of animals. Intensive breeding being a particular worry. It's easy to blame this sort of thing on different life styles racism as they don't live on fish and chips washed down with a pint of beer - real beer not the larger brewed stuff.

If I remember correctly SARS mutated and went away as did chicken flue as it was called. This SARS is mutating as well. It seems to be the way they can get some idea of infection routes. The well known case in the UK passed through the Italian alps and was thought to have caught it previously some where in Asia. However if asymptomatics can pass it on ................ They seem to be accepting this can happen now.

Not to do with racism. It's because their hygiene and animal husbandry 'standards' are a danger to themselves and the wider world as we have found out. Would bet there's a fair bit of cruelty thrown in. Countries with low standards need to be open for criticism without the 'R' word being thrown around to stifle scrutiny and debate.

There are loads of countries that have the same sort of markets and a nice simplistic view of how similar viruses crop up goes down well when in real terms no one is sure how they actually crop up other than bats may have something to do with this one. Another one seems to relate to camels. Another chickens.

They are actually thought to be more likely to be caused via live animals but viruses mutate anyway so what comes out depends on what is about.
