Hello
I noticed that people have offered advice on Countax ride on mower issues previously, so I am hoping that someone can help me
The mower was working fine when put away last year, but this year has a fault that has beaten me
There are two issues that I think are connected
1. When releasing the foot brake in neutral, the engine stalls, when forward or reverse engaged, it pulls away. It does pull away very quickly, which I presume is belt tension
2. The clutch for the cutters does not engage when the switch is selected, the indicator does flash on the dash
It is a 1998 model, so does not have any gauges on the dash
The clutch gives a definite click when I provide power directly to the connector
I haven’t measured the voltage at the connector with the engine running for safety reasons, but with just the ignition on and the clutch switch selected, the connector has 11.49volts, whilst the battery has 12.74v
Any assistance on what to try next would be very much appreciated
Tony
