Hi,
Would appreciate opinions on the expected coverage of blown-in Rockwool cavity wall insulation into a 3 inch cavity of a bungalow.
Reason I ask is because I've needed to drill a few holes right through the cavity wall for various reasons (on different walls, low down & high up) and about half the time, I don't come across any insulation - I've even stuck a thin metal hook through the holes and had a root around.
Does anyone have information on how complete the cavity is expected to be filled, assuming there's no significant debris within the cavity to hinder insulation flow? Someone must have tested coverage in the very beggining to prove the method worked, mustn't they?
My Rockwool insulation was installed by a reputable company, allegedly.
