I'm hoping someone with a bit more tiling experience than me can help me out on a problem I've got.

I've got 2 walls that meet at 45 degrees which my previous builder tiled. Its an external 45 degree i.e. the join is an "outtie" not an "innie" if you know what I mean! Anyway, he did an appalling job on it (amongst other things) and the edges of the tiles are very chipped. Is there any kind of edging or trim that I can use that could cover this bad workmanship given that it's already finished and grouted?

Would using standard chrome tiling trim and cutting off the part that goes behind the tile then gluing this to the join be possible?

I'd appreciate any king of help in this.

Thanks

If you cut back the trim the way you described you would find it very hard to stick the bit thats left onto the last tile. Even if you could any slight knocks would soon loosen it. Personally, i would hack off the last row of tiles, fix the trim correctly and then tile. If the row you take off is made up of whole tiles, you would then have to cut off 4-5 mm off the new tiles so it could tuck into the trim. Couple of hours work i reckons and worth it. Good luck. (and next time use a tiler, no offense)
