Hi

I've been renovating a house that used to be bedsits. All the bedroom doors have yale cylinder locks fitted to them.

I need to remove the locks, as otherwise I can see the kids getting locked in,but am struggling to find a blank to coverup the holes.

As the doors are the original Victorian doors and in otherwise good condition,I don't want to replace them.

Does anyone know of a suitable solution either bought or home made.

Thanks in advance.

Are the doors painted or stripped.

If painted I would buy some dowel that is big enough for the whole and some wood filler. use the dowel to fill the whole, cut to the correct width and use the filler for any minor holes left.

If stipped then finger plates as in your last post is probably the best idea!
