coving - paid for job

Hi all
I've had some coving done by a company (two guys) who advertise as coving specialists.
I'm not happy with the job at all. The adhesive is on parts of the coving/walls/ceiling. I used the same company to do the plastering and although its not perfect, its passable.
The adhesive looks like hard glue and cannot be sanded down.
I found a tub of evo-stick pva which the company denies using for fixing the coving. They reckon they uased coving adhesive.
I have telephoned him to explain that i'm not happy with the job and he's coming round tomorrow. He says he thinks the job is good.
I've explained that the mess cannot be sanded down, but he insists that it can be, unless the suppliers have given him the wrong adhesive.
I think he's bull sh****ng

sounds like hes used drywall adhesive to stick it, theres nothing wrong with it if you wipe the coving as your going along, but its nearly impossible to sand down.

I doubt if they have used PVA it just wouldnt stick up coving.

Whatever they have used they should have left the joint clean.
