Hi guys I haven’t recently brought a house but I have just noticed this is this something to be concerned about it’s a single small extension to the rear of the kitchen around 1000mm x 2400mm big should I get a structural engineer to have a look at it as it is next to a drainage pipe ?

It looks like the whole corner has been rebuilt? The mortar is a different colour?

Where the damp course is to the left it has a fillet of mortar. Is this lower wall slightly further out than the main wall?

The wall with the 2 breather blocks in is further out then the rest

It's been repointed and the DPC has been moved up one brick from the existing level. Why? Could it have been hit by a car? Maybe the air bricks were added due to damp, not sure why the whole corner would need repointing/rebuilding though.

An easy first check for the drain is to find the manhole it goes in to and run some water down the drain to make sure it actually goes somewhere and is not just terminated in the ground.

Photo 2 shows severe frost damage to the other wall to the right. This suggests there may be very wet soil, possibly pointing the finger at a blocked drain that's leaking out into the soil.

It's possible that the rebuilding may have been an attempt at solving a damp issue, possibly drain related, in which case you hope that they fixed the source at the same time. Or they may have replaced the lower bricks if they were as badly damaged as those others now are.
