Hi all,
I have some stone (20mm thick Westmorland slate ie green) kitchen worktops to repair - the substrate was not up to the job and has differentially moved, cracking the tops in several places at weak points; along natural planes of weakness in the stone and where there are cutouts for hob/sink, etc. There is no way to practically remove the tops and re-attach them to a better substrate so I'm looking for something I can use which will allow some movement. I plan to widen the cracks a bit with a Dremel before filling. Can anyone suggest something suitable ie slightly flexible and in a matching colour (it doesn't have to be a perfect colour-match as there is quite a lot of colour variation in the stone, so the repairs won't stick out too much)?
